Professor Zhou is serving as the director of medical intelligence institute, school of computer and information technology, Beijing Jiaotong University. He is graduated from college of computer science, Zhejiang University, China. His research interests cover artificial intelligence in medicine, biomedical data mining and network medicine. Particularly, his research aims to develop novel computational approaches (e.g. complex network algorithms and data mining methods) using both real-world clinical and biological data for disease mechanism discovery, novel drug discovery and detection of novel phenotype-genotype associations. He has published over 180 peer reviewed papers including those on Nature Communications, Science Advances and Science Bulletin etc., and served for program members for international conferences (e.g. IJCAI, AAAI, NIPS, ICML and BIBM) and reviewers for journals such as Pharmacological Research, IEEE TKDE, JAMIA and AI in Medicine.
