Sandro is a PhD student at the University of Wolverhampton in the UK and a dedicated researcher in the field of women's health, with a primary focus on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

Holding an MSc from Middlesex University, in conjunction with the Northern College of Acupuncture, Sandro's research on acupuncture for PCOS earned him a Merit, showcasing his commitment to evidence-based practice and innovative approaches to treatment. He is a Fellow of the ABORM, and one of the Directors at Evidence Based Acupuncture, as well as a Board member of the Society for Acupuncture Research.

Sandro is the Social Media Officer for the AE-PCOS Society and as a member of their Early-Career Special Interest Group he contributed to the 2023 update to the international PCOS guidelines.

Sandro's research endeavours extend beyond PCOS, encompassing Cochrane Review Groups focusing on acupuncture for dysmenorrhea and assisted reproductive technology, as well as Chinese herbal medicine for endometriosis. He is also the Director for International Membership of the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association and the Social Media Editor of the European Journal of Integrative Medicine.
